The objectives of this page are to provide opportunities for;
- all stakeholders who care about education to express their aspirations,
- succinct focus upon the issues and obstacles confronting educational development in this country and "possible solutions",
- the discussion of educational systemic problems, including issues of equity "and possible solutions".

The most important issue at the moment is establishing credibility and trust in the system and the Government's plans to address educational and Human Resource needs.
Two factors that the webmaster believes are very important right from the beginning:
1. If we are serious about reformation we need to open up effective communication (two-way) between all stakeholders and education sectors. There are so many talented people with extensive and valuable experience in the field who are not being utilized effectively.
2. We need to increase the proportion of the National Budget allocation for education (For example in Malaysia it's 25%). It is the hope of this webmaster that we will strive for a figure of around 25% (with 0% corruption) within one (1) year, we are already so far behind other countries..

Profil Mendiknas Bambang Sudibyo
Bambang Sudibyo has been installed as National Education Minister in the "Kabinet Indonesia Bersatu" by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. The following is a profile of the new minister:
He was born in Temanggung Central Java on the 8th Oktober 1952. He is one of the founding members of the "Partai Amanat Nasional". A lecturer at UGM (Gajah Mada University) he served as Minister of Finance during President Abdul Rahman Wahid's era. He has a degree in economics from UGM, and a Masters Degree and PhD from the United States.
Bambang Sudibyo has served as a member of the "MPR" (House of Representatives) representing the ISEI Group, a member of the President's special advisory team, member of the ministerial cabinet for utilization and management of "BUMN" (Public Facilities), and he has also served as Komisaris PTPN X
